State of Alaska Obtains Essential Threat Detection Resource
The Office of Information Technology's State of Alaska MS-ISAC membership can be leveraged by Alaska local and tribal governments.
The State of Alaska Office of Information Technology (OIT) has signed a State/Territory-Wide Membership agreement with the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) to provide essential cybersecurity resources for the State of Alaska.
The target start date for the State's MS-ISAC membership is October 1st.
“When MS-ISAC moved to a new paid membership model, our team worked internally with federal partners to understand the changes. Top of our list was making sure that the State of Alaska could still access this critical resource for incident response, threat notifications, web security, and cybersecurity information sharing,” said Dan Monarch, Chief Information Security Officer.
MS-ISAC provides enterprise-grade cybersecurity tools that can be deployed across the state to improve cyber resilience.
“As an added bonus, we learned that our State of Alaska MS-ISAC membership could be used by local and tribal government entities in Alaska as part of MS-ISAC’s “whole of state” approach to strengthening cybersecurity and outreach,” said Monarch.

“Our State of Alaska MS-ISAC membership will provide us with the tools to continue working closely with our government partners to keep our data secure and protected,” said Monarch.
