We are pleased to see more State of Alaska employees being able to telework. As we work remotely it is important to work efficiently. Please review the instructions for a list of systems which can be accessed without VPN.

Please disconnect from VPN when not in use. Tip: Heavy VPN usage times are around 10AM and 1PM. Large file transfers or work loads will perform best in the morning or later in the work day. 

Resources that can be accessed without VPN:

• MS Outlook or Webmail (on your machine or at outlook.office365.com)
• MS Teams (on your machine or at teams.microsoft.com)
• SharePoint*
• OneDrive (on your machine or at onedrive.live.com)
• State of Alaska public websites and other public websites
• IRIS ESS (to submit your timesheet or view paystubs/leave balances etc.)
• E-Travel Online
• WebEx

*Some Department SharePoint sites or portions of SharePoint sites may require VPN for access. Contact your Department Technology Officer if you have questions about SharePoint.
