Cybersecurity Training Campaign
Quarterly Cybersecurity Awareness Training Campaign
We've recently launched our cybersecurity awareness training campaign for State of Alaska employees.
The State Security Office (SSO) recently launched the State of Alaska (SOA) Quarterly Cybersecurity Awareness Training Campaign for SOA employees. Starting in 2025, the SSO will automatically enroll SOA employees in quarterly trainings that will help keep our digital environment safe and secure using the KnowBe4 platform.
“Our employees serve Alaskans across departments in a wide range of professional capacities. Cybersecurity training is essential to the safety and resiliency of our organization. It reinforces digital best practices that prevent cybercriminals from gaining illegal access to our systems and data,” Dan Monarch, Chief Information Security Officer, said.
The first quarter training campaign will focus on a review of our acceptable use policy and a survey of our cybersecurity challenges as an organization. The training campaign will run through March 31, 2025.
“We recognize that our employees have busy schedules, so we’ve broken up our annual cybersecurity awareness training into smaller modules that are released each quarter. We appreciate the dedication of our employees in keeping the State of Alaska secure, and we are excited to share important cybersecurity information and best practices in this new format,” Monarch said.
