Telephone
OIT provides a statewide phone network with traditional desktop and softphone options for employees. A softphone is software that enables the user to make and receive telephone calls over the internet from a computer via a compatible headset. Standard features for either option include voicemail, voicemail access from anywhere, call forwarding, call conferencing, and multiple lines. OIT also facilitates the purchase of mobile phones and devices through a contracted service provider, as well as satellite telephones.
